Monday 10th March

In the mood for dancing? Then get practising for St Paddy’s day with the BMSA and QURC joint Trad night in the Speakeasy bar! Entry before 10pm is £3 and is only £4 after 10pm. With the traditional music being provided by a range of 1st-5th year medical students, you can be sure that it’s going to be a brilliant night, plus it’s all for a worthy cause!

Tuesday 11th March

After all of that dancing last night, you can return to the Speakeasy tonight to put your feet up and test your brain for the weekly pub quiz! It starts at 9.30pm tonight, and you have the chance of winning up to £100.

Or, alternatively, if you want to venture out of the Queen’s ‘bubble’ tonight, it’s Crazy Tuesdays at the Movie House on Dublin Road! This means that it’s £3 each for a ticket. Tonight you can see a range of movies from ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ with the Oscar winning Matthew McConaughey (4pm, 6.40pm, 9.20pm) to the Lego Movie at 6pm, all for £3. Book your tickets online to avoid disappointment! It’s called ‘Crazy Tuesdays’ for a reason.

Wednesday 12th March

Head on down to Box in the Odyssey tonight! If you like cheap booze, and want to party the night away then Box Rox Wednesdays is the perfect place to be. Entry is £3.

Thursday 13th March

If you want to do something a bit more ‘classy’ tonight, Lebanese style, then go to the Teatro restaurant on Botanic! They’re hosting a live belly dancing show as well as having delicious Lebanese style food and live music. 2 courses and a complimentary drink cost £17.50!

 Friday 14th March

QUB’s Literific society is hosting the ‘Irish Association Cross-Border Debate’ with the Trinity College Dublin Historical Society and politicians from both sides of the border today! The debate will run from 12-3pm in the Senate room in the Lanyon building. If you want to sharpen your debating skills and speak today then get in touch via facebook or email! The link is here.

Saturday 15th March

It’s the last day of the six nations rugby today!  Italy V England is at 12.30pm, Wales V Scotland at 14.45pm and France V Ireland at 5pm. You can support your favourite team in a number of watering holes around Belfast today, but of course there’s always the Speakeasy in the SU.

Sunday 16th March

Do you like Father Ted? Then you’re in luck. Limelight is having a ‘Ted Fest’ tonight for a general celebration of Father Ted! This includes live comedy stand up acts such as Michael Redmond (Father Stone) and Patrick McDonnell (Eoin McLove) as well as a Pat Mustard tribute DJ set. You have to buy your tickets (which cost £5) online, and you can get them here. Doors open at 8pm!
