Paper Hats: The most fun you can have in a lecture

What’s the deal with everyone in PFC wearing tiny paper caps?

| UPDATED hats paper qub trend

Queen’s University has been inundated with a trend so simple yet effective it’s a downright style sensation. Paper hats are the latest must have for fashionistas, with sleepy students in lectures leading  the pack.

Students have been spotted  meandering around Queen’s with a paper hat perched cheekily upon their heads- though how conscious they are of their new head gear is unknown.

It’s simple, the next time you’re bored in a lecture get your creative juices flowing and build a small paper hat –  you’re not going to take notes anyway, you may as well put your file paper to some use.

Here’s some instructions for those of you who struggle with arts and crafts:

When you’re happy with your hat, simply drop it atop the head of  the nearest sleeping student. If said student happens to be wearing a beanie then it’s all the better for maximum grip. Alternatively if you’re really proud of your creation just stick it on yourself and take a selfie- there’s no judgement in the pursuit of ‘likes’.

The Facebook page “Spotted at QUB” has been more than useful at keeping track of this latest trend. Whether it will become as popular as Newcastle’s’ “milking” trend or the distant memory of  planking is yet to be seen. Only you, the trend setters and jokers of Queen’s will determine it’s success.
