Aston beats Oxford and Cambridge in uni rankings

We also beat Warwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Nottingham

A huge survey of British students has sensationally placed Aston above universities such as Warwick, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Liverpool, Oxford and Cambridge.

The award, handed to us by, saw Aston rated 4.45 out of 5, climbing 36 places from 73rd in 2014 to 37th in 2015.

Over 25,000 students were asked to complete surveys on their opinion of their uni within ten categories, including job prospects, student support and accommodation.

Facilities: 39th

City life: 28th

Clubs and societies: 49th

Student support: 21st

International: 19th

One current student, Ellie, told Whatuni: “Aston is a lovely campus and I love the whole upbeat and alive atmosphere that it has, being in the heart of a fabulous city. Everything is close and convenient and the facilities at Aston are great, from the several coffee shops to the fabulous gym.”

Aston is ranked 32nd in the Complete University Guide, and is home to 8,130 students.
