The best places to celebrate 4/20 on campus

Blaze it

It’s an institutional holiday, much like Christmas but celebrated with a lot less fights between your Mum and your Nan over the main course.

There is no denying that Aber is a very pro-Green town among the students, and so in the spirit of April 20th (4/20) we have compiled the list of the best places for you to spend this evening at 16:20.

The best places to smoke a cigarette (of sorts) on campus are listed below to help you enjoy 4/20 in a town so picturesque it would just be wrong not to see the day off without some kind of celebration.

Rosser Electrical Station

If you’re looking to get mellow and reside in the old school Penglais Fferm, than this is the place for you, complete with a little wall to rest on.

Overlooking the Arts Centre

Tucked away in a little wood just beside Trefloyne B, this place is really the only place for you to truly feel at one with nature, complete with a scenic view over campus and the Arts Center.

TFTS Alcove

Tucked around the corner from the front entrance, the Parry Williams building has the perfect crash for you and your four mates whilst chilling and reflecting on the last banger from Snoop on the 20th of April.

Trefloyne Garden

The Trefloyne garden is located just between Rosser G and Trefloyne A, a comfy little bench has been built into the dirt mound for you to enjoy at your leisure.

The Hugh Owen Walkway

If you’re feeling particularly brave then this is the place for you, quickly have a smoke on your way between lectures.

The SU Steps

Or why not throw all caution to the wind and get even higher by climbing the bleachers on the Arts Center plaza. The height will help you hide the smell and the views over the town from the top are unbeatable.

Cwrt Mawr Woods

To get there simply walk from Cwrt Mawr to the main road and cut through the thin woodland, there is a great little opening for you to blaze up and enjoy your 4/20 paranoia free.

Rosser Lounge

Yes, we haven’t forgotten you, the hard workers who dont have time to walk a mile to celebrate your 4/20. Stop the dissertation frenzy for just 10 minutes, walk out the door and round the corner. Out of sight, out of mind right?
