Killjoys introduce 1am curfew to stop binge drinking on the streets

Local council do-gooders have enforced a new curfew throughout Aberystwyth as part of a new anti-binge drinking push.

Fresh rules will be rolled out across town in time for the start of the new term in mid April, and they will only target Aberystwyth students.

All establishments will be calling last orders for 1am in the hope to curb the “binge drinking culture” from students.

No more endless shots. No more VK fuelled nights. No more dreaded receipts lurking in your wallet.

If you’re found drunk in the street, and in possession of a student card, you will be sent home.

The decision came about after Aber Uni was named the third booziest university in the country.

Third year Amy Durrant is devastated. She said: “This will be the end of student life as we know it. The nightlife is going to get a lot duller.”
