Rugby boy caught starkers by police on first social

He was the butt of their joke

A drunken rugby boy was escorted home by police after the team undressed him and stole his clothes.

During a heavy first social on Wednesday night, concerned locals flagged down patrol officers after they spotted the naked sportsman stumbling around in the street.

The guy was struggling to stand up and had to use the wall to help him keep his balance.

He wasn’t arrested, but officers took him home after asking him to turn around and face a wall to protect his dignity.

The episode was caught on camera and posted on Spotted Aberystwyth.

The cheeky snap has sparked speculation as to who the unlucky lad is- and who sent it in.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police told The Tab: “In the early hours of September 25 an officer in Aberystwyth was flagged down by a member of the public whilst on patrol.

“A young man had been undressed by his friends as a practical joke, and they’d run off with his clothing.

“He was very intoxicated and was having difficulty to stand.

“In order to protect some of his dignity the officer turned him around to face the wall, and also used to wall to help keep him upright and prevent him falling.

“He was not arrested and conveyed home by officers to ensure his safety.”
