Despite a university wide email being sent to students this morning by Senior Vice Principal Mike Greaves stating that we should ‘expect the current industrial action to be suspended from tomorrow’, AUSA have different ideas.

Student President Lawson Ogubie sent out an email only an hour later urging students to ‘stand in solidarity with our lecturers’, and reenstating AUSA’s support of the strikes.

Ogubie also expressed in another email his understanding that the strikes will be putting strain onto students, urging them to contact AUSA if they are in need of assistance.

Aberdeen UCU is not alone in its rejection of the deal; Sheffield, Manchester and Cardiff amongst others intend to continue striking.
