Aberdeen ranked in top 150 unis in the world

We were ranked 141st best university


In the QS World Rankings released today, Aberdeen has been ranked 141st in the world.  

Released annually, the QS World Rankings rate universities according to research, teaching, employability and internationalisation – how well universities attract students and teachers from overseas.

This year, 940 universities from across the world were included in the ratings.

In last year’s rankings, Aberdeen was ranked 137th, falling four places this year. However, this year the academic reputation of Aberdeen has fallen from 53.6 last year to 42.6 this year, leading to a global ranking of 226.

However, the ratio of staff to students increased leading to a global ranking of 195. Areas that rose included the proportion of staff and students from overseas with global rankings of 112 and 57 respectively.
