Lauren RobertsonAberdeen has been named the fourth best university in Scotland in the latest Times Higher Education rankings.
On the publication’s annual Best Universities in Europe listings, Aberdeen is placed 85th overall in Europe.
Universities are judged by their teaching environment, research, citations, industry income and international outlook
The UK in general did pretty well overall, topping the rankings by nabbing almost a quarter (46) of the 200 spots on the list.
This placing is mainly due to our international outlook, where we are in the top 10 per cent of unis.
Also, in the world rankings, we have moved up from 178th last year to 172nd this year.
