Our favourite eatery after drunk Skites and Carwash Tuesdays is set to be getting a refurbishment worth £91,000.

The changes could include touch-screens to look at the menu and place orders on.

A spokesperson from the company has said: “We can confirm that the McDonald’s in Aberdeen city centre will be undergoing a new, exciting transformation in early 2016.

The major developments which will be made in-store will lay the foundations for current and future changes to the McDonald’s menu and service experience.”

George Wildgoose, an Aberdeen student, said: “I would just like to be able to go upstairs, because upstairs is awesome. Why don’t they let us upstairs when we’re drunk?”

Whilst RGU student Robert Flanders said: “It doesn’t need refurbishing”, mainly due to the problems of drunk ordering and getting specific toppings.

McDonald’s said that more information about what’s actually going to be new will be announced closer to the time.
