72 per cent fewer cheats roaming Aberdeen campus

Or last year’s dishonest lot were just better at it

Figures released by the uni reveal that less students are cheating in exams.

Or are we just getting better not getting caught?

Are we studying more or are cheats getting better?

According to the documents, only 18 students were caught cheating in 2012-13 – down from 22 in the year before.

And last year only five students were caught out trying to beat the system.

Some risk taking notes into exams.

But when asked about the figures, most reckon it’s much higher. Fourth year Catherine said: “I’ve seen people openly using notes in exams.”

And some openly admit to cheating. Graduate Rachel said: “I once wrote an entire essay in a Blake poetry book and copied it out word for word in the exam.

“I wasn’t particularly sly about it, and no one stopped me.

“It wasn’t even my essay to begin with.”

The rest of Aberdeen’s student body will be happy to learn they’re more honest than the liars and crooks of Stirling University, where a grand total of 169 students were found to have either plagiarised, colluded, or used unfair means in examinations.

Shame on them.
