One victim rescued from fire near Spital area

An ambulance and three fire engines were called to tackle a fire on Orchard Road earlier today


An ambulance was called to a fire that broke out on Orchard Road this afternoon and one person was rescued from the blaze.

Earlier today, three fire engines were called to the popular student area just off the Spital to combat a fire that had broken out.

The fire is assumed to have been in a property on Orchard Road  just behind Butchart.

Currently, it is still unknown how many people were in the property at the time of the incident.

A police car was present, and police are now letting pedestrians up the Spital and Orchard Road again.

UPDATE: One woman was rescued from the blaze and no one was injured.
