Snafu closing down

Snafu and The Athenaeum closing their doors for the final time in the next few weeks

After being a presence on the Aberdeen club scene for almost ten years Snafu and The Anthenaeum have announced they will be closing down in the coming weeks.

The club may be forced to close any day between now and March 2nd and so they will be “treating each night until then as if it’s our last together.

“This Sunday (23rd) could, for all we know, be our last night. Saturday (22nd) is sold out while Bigfoot’s (21st) has a few tickets remaining. ”

The club has had a successful run, having been frequently listed in The World’s Top 100 clubs by byRA Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, and has been presented with 14 national trade awards including Scottish Nightclub of the Year.

They will be hosting closing parties so keep an eye on their Facebook page for details.
