Selling Sunset Alanna Pioneertown

Jason has weighed in on the whole messy Pioneertown saga following Selling Sunset

He revealed whether Alanna could be at risk of getting fired from the company over her ‘false claims’

There’s been so much off camera drama on Selling Sunset this season including the messy Pioneertown drama surrounding Alanna, which has honestly been one of the best things to come out of the show.

In case you need a little refresher, new Selling Sunset cast member Alanna Gold claimed: I own a little Western town in the desert, so it’s called Pioneertown.” However, once the show came out the residents of Pioneertown were outraged by her “false claims” and demanded an apology from Alanna saying that “the claim that she owns the ‘entire town’ is verifiably false.”

They clarified that Alanna only owns a “small minority non-controlling interest in an entity that owns six of thirty-five parcels in the Mane Street area, constituting less than one per cent of Pioneertown’s total 640 acres.”

Alanna then issued a public apology about her claims, with a representative for her saying: “I want to reach out to personally say I am so deeply sorry for the confusion I have caused. I certainly do not own Pioneertown, I never should have said that and I apologise for doing so. I want you to know that I did not mean any harm, I absolutely love Pioneertown and I simply got too excited talking about it.

“My first date with my husband was there and our wedding was at the Soundstage. We wanted to become part of the community so we invested in a home and other properties there.

“We are contacting any and all reporters to make sure they update their stories and correct the record. Again, I am so sorry to the people of Pioneertown, I would never want to disrespect the town’s history or any of the people who make it such a wonderful place.”

Her Selling Sunset boss Jason Oppenheim has now weighed in on whether the whole Pioneertown saga, and whether he knew Alanna was “exaggerating the truth.”

In an interview with TMZ, the reporter said to him: “Alanna came out with a lie about Pioneertown.” Jason replied: “I read about that today. Let’s not say a lie, let’s just she exaggerated the truth. No, I literally found out reading the news just now.”

The reporter then asked whether the news was going to “affect her job at all because she lied about owning a town?” Jason quickly shut down any rumours Alanna’s job would be at stake, laughing: “No it’s going to affect her job, I love her.” Looks lie she’s safe for now!
