Matilda from Love Island reveals how her Alexa exposed her cheating ex, and it’s genius

Love Island 2024’s Matilda Draper did back in 2022, and she had the most genius idea to find out the truth about her cheating ex. Matilda, who was coupled up with Sean Stone in the villa in this year’s Love Island, revealed on a podcast that she’d done some serious investigation into her ex and learned that he was cheating on her. But how did she crack the case?
It’s actually a lot more straight forward than you’d think. Matilda told Ami Charlize on her podcast, Ami Charlize’s Private Story, that she’d had an argument with her ex from two years ago. They were living together, so she’d gone to her mum’s house to cool off, but she didn’t realise that he’d “gone out” without her. Already a huge red flag.
She mentioned that she’d seen “just some random TikTok about how to listen to your Alexa voice history,” which actually seems like a sign from the universe. She’d “thought nothing of it” at first, but then the following day, she decided to go onto her Alexa app and get to the bottom of what went on last night.
After listening to “all the voice history”, she said that he’d brought back “a bunch of girls back to our flat, about seven girls” and she heard them all asking Alexa to play different songs. According to Matilda, it went on from “like two in the morning until 9am.” This might be one of the few times I’m genuinely glad technology is listening to us.
When she came back home, Matilda went off on him, and apparently he’d tried to deny any wrongdoing, but she simply shut him down with “I’ve heard it all.” What a boss move.
Matilda said that it’s one of the “best things” that’s ever happened to her, and I think we can all agree that whoever he was, he wasn’t worthy of being with her after that. Onto bigger and better things babes!
