Ben Affleck allegedly ‘very moody and dark at times’ with Jennifer Lopez leading up to divorce

The latest messy update in the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck divorce has come via two sources, one close to Lopez and one to Affleck’s other ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who have commented on what he is allegedly like to be married to and claim that before the divorce Jennifer Lopez spent a fair bit of time and energy ensuring he was happy.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on 20th August, after the two had been separated since April of this year. A source has told PEOPLE that leading up to the split Jennifer Lopez “did spend a lot of time making sure Ben was happy and had everything he needed.

“The way she cared for him was almost childlike,” the source continues. “Friends constantly reminded her that she’s not responsible for his feelings. He’s very moody and dark at times. Jennifer appreciates life in another way. She’s very grateful for everything.”

And then it gets even more juicy, as a source close to Jennifer Garner – who he was married to prior to Lopez told PEOPLE also that Ben Affleck “has never handled stress well.”

“He doesn’t have good coping skills. He gets easily frustrated and tends to be moody. When he’s relaxed and in a good mood, it’s amazing to be around him,” the source says. “But more often, he’s upset or frustrated.” Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have three children together.

The source continued “Many times, it’s just something small that he gets stuck on. He really doesn’t understand how his bad mood affects people around him. It’s just not fun being around that kind of negativity.”

Still, Ben Affleck is said to be doing well following the news of his divorce from Jennifer Lopez going public, and despite the Garner quote he has been pictured looking super happy as he got a takeaway dropped off at his gaff in pictures circulating on Twitter.
