Georgia Harrison said she was ‘dropped by so many brands’ after Bear leaked their sex tape
She even had to move back in with her mum
Love Island’s Georgia had a recent victory in court after Stephen Bear was found guilty of all counts of disclosing private sexual images/films of Georgia Harrison and voyeurism. In 2020, Stephen Bear secretly filmed him and Georgia having sex on his CCTV before uploading it onto his OnlyFans account without her consent. Georgia has revealed that she was dropped by brands following the video being leaked and how her professional life has been affected.
Following the verdict, Georgia has opened up about how she was truly impacted by Bear’s actions. After the video was posted on Bear’s OnlyFans, Georgia said her Instagram account received 72 million impressions “because so many people were coming to my page”.
Georgia revealed the “impact” the video had on her professional and personal life and described it as “so damaging”. She said: “I was dropped by so many brands who didn’t want to work with me because of this video. My earnings dropped dramatically and I was forced to move back in with my mum. Financially it has been really tough.”
The former Love Islander was forced to move back into her mother’s home in Essex after she returned from Dubai because the flat she owns is opposite Bear’s house. She said: “I haven’t been able to go to my own flat for two years. The place I worked my whole life to buy. I will never feel comfortable living there again. One day I will sell it and try to move on.”
Georgia also opened up about how difficult it has been for her to move on romantically. For the first year and a half, Georgia found it “really hard to date people”. “I found it hard to trust anyone. I thought people looked at me and thought I was cheap,” she said.
Stephen Bear, who after being found guilty said he was in need of a holiday, will be sentenced on January 31st 2023.
