Spotify Wrapped audio day

This is what the ‘sunrise to sunset’ Audio Day in your Spotify Wrapped actually means

If you don’t have Wistful Yearning at night, don’t talk to me

Spotify Wrapped is here, the calendar day of the year that at this point is more important than Christmas Day and your birthday combined. There’s truly nothing better than reflecting in the statistics of your listening year and getting told everything you already knew: That all you did was stream Taylor Swift. It’s me, hi, the problem is indeed me. But this year, Spotify branched out into new data and told us all about our listening personalities and our Audio Day. But what actually is Audio Day, the sunrise to sunset feature on your Spotify Wrapped? Here’s all you need to know.

‘From sunrise to sunset, you kept it interesting’

Spotify Wrapped introduces the new feature of Audio Day for 2022, which has never been in one of their roundups before. Basically, it breaks down the micro genres and moods that you’ve been streaming to tell you what kind of vibe you had in the mornings, afternoons and nights throughout the year.

According to the official breakdown by Spotify of their 2022 Wrapped, Audio Day is “An interactive story that gives you a peek into how your music taste evolved throughout the day, Audio Day showcases the niche moods and aesthetic descriptors of the music you listened to during morning, midday, and evening time periods.”

Mine makes a lot of sense with that in mind, to be honest. My mornings were Fun Upbeat and Happy, which matches the tracks I’d stream on my commute. My midday is Confident, Empowering and Energy which is very my gym / work playlist vibes. Evenings and nights got Golden Hour and Wistful Yearning, which perfectly aligns with my habit of crying in my bed streaming Lana Del Rey, Kacey Musgraves and Phoebe Bridgers.

Don’t see Audio Day? Not everyone got it

If you think your Spotify Wrapped has glitched and you can’t find Audio Day, not everyone actually gets it. To qualify for it, you have to have streamed enough different styles of genres at the three different time intervals.
