who is she chip shop TikTok

Okay so what is the ‘who is she, at the chip shop’ song all over the TikTok FYP right now?

Yes I have learned the dance x

If your TikTok FYP hasn’t been completely overran with the best song of 2022, then you’re doing it wrong. And no, I’m not talking Green Green piggin Grass by George Ezra – I’m talking about the TikTok song that’s amassed over 500,000 videos and shows no signs of stopping: “Who is she, who is she, where did you find her AT THE CHIP SHOP!” It’s the multiverse of madness in a song and I can’t get enough of it personally, even if Scottish Declan has used it and rendered it an ick. But where does the “who is she, at the chip shop” song come from, who sings it, and why is it all over TikTok? I’ve got you covered.

Who is behind this?

The TikTok sound is a song called Chip Shop by kkbutterfly27xx. It’s a Frankenstein’s monster of a banger that mashes up the iconic synth line from Show Me Love by Robin S (sampled this year by Charli XCX on Used To Know Me and by Beyoncé on Break My Soul), Nikki Grahame’s iconic “Who is she” Diary Room rant from Big Brother 7 and kkbutterfly27xx’s own outrageous verses. It also features the sampled spoken word vocals of Marcus Bentley and Davina McCall.

But who is kkbutterfly27xx? Nobody really knows, apart from the fact her real name is Kalila. She recorded the verses to Chip Shop in her bedroom on her iPhone’s voice notes. The song goes at 10 mile an hour, so here are the lyrics in full to the verses:

At the chip shop (Binley), lookin’ like a slag
Sucking on thе manager’s dick for a fag
You got ten quid, lemme give you a shag
I’m looking for a dealer, I’mma need a ten bag
At the chip shop, waiting for the dealer
Hair up in a bun and my lipstick concealer
Then I hear my government
Yo, hey Kalila
Turn around outside
What’s good, my dealer?

Tell me now what you got for me
Cause you know I don’t give gock-gock for free
He said “I got the shit, shit so loud”
“Shit so loud, could hear it in a crowd”
I’m just there like damn
Getting fucked up really wasn’t my plan
But I have to stan
Now my mind gone like Madeline McCann

British poetry, luv.

People who think the song starts with Molly-Mae need a history lesson

I am aghast that people think Nikki Grahame’s iconic rant is Molly-Mae – please, please look on your computers at real reality TV. Nikki was the best of all time! kkbutterfly27xx’s mix celebrates the best of nonsense British pop culture and these TikTok’s all using the sound prove it.
