These are all the Love Islanders who have ever tried to make it with a music career

Some of their songs are absolute bops

When Love Islanders leave the villa, there seems to be a finite number of paths they can take. Most end up going into social media influencing, having racked up hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of followers before they’ve even landed back in the UK.

Some establish their own brands whilst others decide to disassociate themselves with the show completely. A small few end up going back into the jobs they had before their Love Island stint and brand their time in Spain as a “learning experience”. But no matter what everyone gets up to when they all inevitably leave the villa, there will always be at least one who turns to the arts and tries to break out into the music industry – some more successfully than others.

Whether they were musically inclined before they entered the villa or are trying something new on the back of their new found following, these are all the Love Islanders who have ever released music:

Stephanie Lam

Stephanie appeared on the fourth season of Love Island in 2018 and entered as a bombshell before being dumped from the villa after only a week.

In the past three years since her stint on the show, Stephanie has branched into the music industry releasing her debut album Bad Habits this year. Despite only having 4,427 monthly listeners, her bestie Molly Mae is incredibly supportive of her music and posts a lot of promo of it on her Instagram.

Wes Nelson

Wes also appeared on the 2018 fourth season but was on the show from the first episode and made it to the final coupled up with Megan Barton-Hanson.

Since the show, Wes has focused his attention on his music career and successfully racked up over three million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has collaborated with the likes of Clean Bandit and is due to go on tour with N-Dubz this year as their support act.

Antigoni Buxton

Antigoni made a brief appearance on the eighth season of Love Island this year. Antigoni was already a budding musician having released 10 singles before even appearing on the show.

Since she’s left the villa, she has returned to her first love of music and has shared photos of her already back in the recording studio.

Jack Fowler

Jack Fowler was on Love Island in 2018, appearing on the fourth season. After the show Jack stuck to social media influencing and club appearances but in 2019 announced that he had been recording music.

Despite having only one song released on Spotify, Jack has nearly 300k monthly listeners.

Chris and Kem

Chris and Ket met on the third season of Love Island. In 2017, the pair formed a musical duo and released Little Bit Leave It which reached number 25 on the UK singles chart.

Despite having not released any music for five years and with no seeming plans to release any more, Chris and Kem still have 11k monthly listeners on Spotify. Not bad.

The Love Island Celebrity X Factor super group

In 2020, season four contestants Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott and Eyal Booker formed a group called No Love Lost and appeared on the celebrity spin off of X Factor.

They performed a rendition of Shawn Mendes’ Nothing Holding Me Back with a rap interlude in the middle led by Wes. Despite the warm response from the X factor judges, the band broke up three months after the show finished.

Samira Mighty

Samira is the latest from the fourth season cast to jump on the music career bandwagon, having released her debut single only this month and she already has 77,938 monthly Spotify listeners.

Samira has always loved to sing and has an old YouTube channel devoted exclusively to videos of her singing covers, including Jessie J and Christina Aguilera.

Sam Bird

Sam Bird also appeared on the fourth season of Love Island in 2018. Sam has released three singles and has just under 40k monthly listeners.

His 2020 single Run to You is his most successful out of his discography with over four million streams.
