love island movie night 2022

OMG! Movie night is returning to Love Island tonight

Get the popcorn out now

It’s the night we’ve all been waiting for and tonight it finally arrives at the Love Island villa – movie night 2022 is here.

The movie night challenge began last year, and allows the Islanders to watch a number of clips of footage featuring their partner doing or saying something they were unaware of.

Everyone on Twitter has been begging for the return of movie night in order for the boys to be held accountable for their actions. Earlier today the official Love Island Twitter account tweeted confirming the exciting event would be featuring in tonight’s episode. They said: “You’ve been waiting for it… Book your tickets for 9pm tonight👀🎬🍿”

An insider told The Sun the episode is “unmissable” and nearly all the couples are at risk because of what goes down during movie night.

They said: “Bosses have kept viewers waiting this year – but rest assured it’s going to be worth it. If any Islanders thought the misdeeds of Casa Amor were behind them they are very much mistaken.

“Pretty much all couples are at risk from what plays out on the big screen and it’s sure to be unmissable.”

Gemma receives a text alerting the Islanders to movie night which says: “It’s time to get glam and hit the red carpet as you attend Mad Movies the premiere! #SpillThePopcorn #ITV2andChill.”

After the text Dami says he “knows” he’ll be part of the clips and Ekin-Su tells Davide: “If we pass this we’re fine.” At some point during the evening Davide tells the other boys: “Forget nothing, at the end someone will pay the bill.”

The Islanders will be playing a quiz in order to see who will select which clips will be shown on the big screen.

Last year’s movie challenge was down right explosive and resulted in the most complained about Love Island moment ever. Faye Winter watched a clip of her partner Teddy Soares where he said he was sexually attracted to another girl whilst he was in Casa Amor.

Faye ended up screaming at the majority of the boys in the villa, but mainly Teddy, prompting nearly 25,000 Ofcom complaints.

Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed which clips will be shown in tonight’s episode, people on Twitter are guessing and suggesting their theories and so far everyone thinks Ekin-Su getting close with George in Casa Amor will be shown as well as Dami’s many kisses with Summer.
