‘You’re so scared of breasts’: Florence Pugh shuts down comments on her see-through dress

‘Respect all women’

Icon, inspiration and all-round legend Florence Pugh has addressed hateful comments on her see-through dress.

The Midsommar star wore a sheer, pink Valentino gown to one of the fashion house’s shows on Saturday night (9th July). In an Instagram caption from later on in the evening, she jokingly talked about the fact her nipples could clearly be seen through the dress. “Technically they’re covered,” she said.

Since then, Florence has received a number of nasty comments on her boob size and “morals”. But in a statement released this morning (11th July), it’s safe to say she absolutely annihilated them.

Just some of the comments on the actor’s original post included men saying they were going to add the photos to their “spank bank”. Another commenter said: “I absolutely hate this woke generation… holy crap. Self-respect. Does anyone have it?”

Florence addressed the remarks in her latest statement. “Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it,” she said. “Whether it be positive or negative, we all knew what we were doing.

“I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during or even now after.”

“So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so flat chested”, she continued. “I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it.”

Florence finished her statement by saying “fucking free the fucking nipple”.

Numerous celebrities applauded the actor for addressing this. Aubrey Plaza said, “ok this is what I been sayingggg,” while Jameela Jamil said, “you’re a magical fucking queen and we do not deserve you.”
