Bridgerton season two reviews

These Bridgerton season two reviews all say it’s incredible but not as steamy as season one

I don’t care what you say, Anthony Bridgerton is better than the Duke!!

Bridgerton season two dropped last Friday and the reviews have been rolling out all weekend. They’re all pretty saying the same thing – season two is lacking regal sex!!  So now our favourite regency drama is back and our obsession with their sex lives and relationships is more rife than ever. Here’s what the reviews have been saying about season two of Bridgerton. Dear reader, brace yourself.

‘Back with less fun and far less sex’

The Guardian rated season two of Bridgerton three out of five stars. But don’t let that put you off because the Guardian previously gave Shrek one star so it’s safe to say it’s not a reliable source. Anyway, the headline is: “Bridgerton is back with less fun and far less sex” and the review itself claims we’re left short of the sex scenes we got in the first season. Personally, I think we got more than enough in season one but I guess people are missing it.

‘The moments between Anthony and Kate are delightful’

The main focus of season two lies on Anthony and Kate and their unreal chemistry. They are genuinely a great couple – their banter and looks to one another make me feel like I’ll be alone forever. Forbes wrote: “Through Bailey’s performance, there is a great sense that Anthony’s trauma prevents him from accepting the feelings he has for Kate, while at the same time, he clearly can’t help softening his anxiety-ridden stubbornness around her.” This review then ended saying the writer wouldn’t be surprised if seasons two slapped harder than the first and, to be honest, I agree.

‘Bailey brings more soul to the role of Lord bridgerton than Page ever did with the Duke’

The Telegraph’s review says “There are times when the central relationship between Anthony and Kate seems to drag on without much passion. But after bingeing the series – in the service of this review, dear reader – their romance swept me away in the end.” I feel this, especially the part about being swept away.

Season two of Bridgerton is available on Netflix now. For all the latest Netflix news, drops, quizzes and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
