This is where the candidates of The Apprentice 2022 went to university
Amy Anzel attended a US Ivy League Uni
When watching the candidates of this year’s Apprentice inflate their own ego’s every Thursday night at 9pm, you’d think they all got three master’s degrees and a PhD from Oxbridge. However, whilst they do (questionably) have the brains, a few of their university backgrounds are more normal than you’d think and they might have even attended the same nights out as you. This is somewhat motivating, as despite which uni you attend you can still go on the Apprentice and be an entrepreneur and follow your dreams – or you can embarrass yourself on TV in front of the nation for a few weeks. With that in mind, here’s where every Apprentice 2022 candidate went to university.
Akeem Bundu- Kamara
Studied at: Queen Mary University of London
Akeem went to QMUL in 2010 and gained a 1st class degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Financial Economics. He was a Maths course rep in his second year, and I’m unsure if that is something to brag about.
Akshay Thakrar
Studied at: Coventry University
Akshay studied Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at Coventry University, and appears to be one of the lucky few graduates that actually uses their degree in their chosen career path.
Amy Anzel
Studied at: Columbia University
Amy studied a bachelor’s degree in Music at the US Ivy League school Columbia. The university has an average admissions rate of six per cent which is incredibly competitive as Harvard is around five per cent.
The university is also in New York which makes me slightly jealous about Amy’s life but also confused as to why she left to come to the UK in the first place.
Brittany Carter
Studied at: University of Essex
Brittany studied a BA in Hotel Management at the University of Essex and achieved a first.
Conor Gilsenan
Studied at: University College Dublin and Northumbria University
Conor attained a scholarship to study a Bachelor of Commerce at University College Dublin from 2011-2014, and he then went on to study Leadership & Management at Northumbria University in 2015 and graduated with a 2:1.
Francesca Kennedy Wallbank
Studied at: Loughborough University
Francesca studied at Loughborough in 2013 and graduated with a first class degree in Mathematics. She was Vice President of the Maths committee, Social Sec of Trading Society, on the Mathematics Netball Team and a course representative. Just reading that makes me tired.
She definitely has that “rah” netball girl personality, and she’s from Surrey so it makes sense.
Harpreet Kaur
Studied at: Leeds Metropolitan University and The Open University
Harpreet went to Leeds Metropolitan Uni to study Marketing and Advertising Management for a year between 2009-10. In 2011, she went on to study BA Leadership & Management at The Open University and graduated with first class honours.
Jealous that she studied at the Open Uni and paid less fees than the rest of us who mugs who recently paid £9000 for online lectures.
Navid Sole
Studied at: King’s College London
Navid studied an integrated Masters in Pharmacy at King’s from 2013-2017, so despite Lord Sugar and his teammates disrespecting his pharmacy skills, Navid has quite a prestigious degree that says otherwise.
Sophie Wilding
Studied at: Bristol University
We are unsure about when Sophie studied at Bristol exactly but she attained a BA in Business.
Stephanie Affleck
Studied at: University of West London
Stephanie studied at BA Events Management at the University of West London in 2015 and achieved a first.
The Apprentice is on Thursday nights at 9pm on BBC1. Episodes will also be available on iPlayer.
