Shock, it was ridiculous again! The 12 dumbest moments from season two of Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris is back! And our favourite dumb show is dumber than ever! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely hand on heart would die for the show. But season two of Emily in Paris was packed full to the brim with toe curling awful and ridiculous moments from start to finish.

The second series sees Emily still in Paris and still working as a social media manager for Savoir. She has a new love interest in a British banker who’s working in Paris, and is still trying to hide the fact she slept with her best friend Camille’s boyfriend, Gabriel.

From *that* iconic letter scene to people randomly losing thumbs – here are all the most dumb and wild moments in season two of Emily in Paris on Netflix.

1, When Emily told Mathieu to wait and literally snail’s pace walked after him

We’re not off to a good start here, because we haven’t even made it through the first episode without Emily in Paris being dumb. Mathiue has whisked Emily off to St Tropez and on the train she takes a call from Gabriel and very loudly discusses the time they slept together (very dumb in itself, did she expect Mathieu to just not hear or be fine with it?).

Mathieu obviously isn’t going to just let Emily take advantage of him, so he gets off the train and leaves her. Emily calls out for him to “wait” and then proceeds to “chase” after him… by literally walking. And walking very, very slowly at that. Good job, Emily. Honestly, it’s near the end of episode one. Watch this back. She may as well walk backwards.

2. Does Emily want to make it any more obvious that she slept with Gabriel or????

The big secret in the first few episodes is Emily and Gabriel keeping their relationship from Camille. But it is SO obvious I cannot believe Camille didn’t work it out right from the start. There are so many times where Emily may as well hold a huge plaque reading “I shagged your boyfriend” she’s that subtle with it.

Like the scene in the spa in episode three. Camille, Emily and her friends are discussing if Gabriel has “someone else” and Emily literally jumps out her skin, starts sweating and is all like “omg no!!! no way does he!!!” when otherwise, she had been completely silent. COME ON NOW.

3. The iconic letter exchange scene will go down in cinema history

You know which scene I mean. Camille went in when she called Emily an illiterate sociopath. Damn straight.

4. Right we need to address all the times people take selfies in public places

Emily stops all the time in the middle of the street to take full on Insta-worthy pictures of herself. There are people around! Would these even come out well?!

STOP IT.

5. OK BUT ALFIE BURPED IN HER MOUTH?!

My toes could not possibly be curling any more than they are right now. This is just gross.

6. WAS IT NECESSARY FOR CAMILLE’S FATHER TO SLICE HIS ENTIRE THUMB OFF?

Camille’s father literally cut his whole thumb off trying to open a bottle of Champagne with a knife. Camille has fainted, Emily is covered in blood and I am SHOOK. WHY DO THIS?!

Possibly one of the most unnecessary Emily in Paris moments ever, let alone just in season two. I could have lived my life without this.

7. Are we still meant to believe this guy is like 17?!

For some reason Timotheé, the 17-year-old younger brother of Camille that Emily slept with, just pops in again – to make it weird and awkward. It was a strange storyline the first time around, and I’d rather pretend it didn’t happen. Plus, we’re still meant to believe this actor is a 17-year-old boy? Sure.

9. The entire fashion show was nothing short of iconic

The fashion show in episode 10 was possibly the most high-camp and over the top thing I have ever seen in my whole life. How it just broke into backflips and twerking?! Living for every last second of it.

10. Yet again, Pierre Cadault is holding this show on his back

When Pierre fired Savoir and served Madeline over her awful French, I felt it. I love him.

11. Camille got back with Gabriel!

After that entire pact, which was her idea, for neither her or Emily to get with Gabriel again, here Camille is back with Gabriel! Netflix you cannot try and portray angel Camille as the devil here, she is not a snake like this!!

12. WE DON’T EVEN GET TO SEE EMILY’S DECISION

WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO? WHY HAS THIS SILLY LITTLE SHOW GOT ME ON EDGE ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE?
