A new clip for Bridgerton season two just dropped and wow, I was not prepared for this

The new season looks 🔥

A new clip from Bridgerton season two just dropped featuring the first look at new character Kate Sharma and oh my god, can the new season just come out now?

As part of Netflix’s virtual fan event TUDUM this weekend, an exclusive clip was shared of the new season. The clip featured Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, meeting Kate Sharma for the first time. Kate is played by Sex Education’s Simone Ashley and in the first look she is seen reading Anthony to filth and honesty, I’m here for it.

During the clip the two appear to be outside a ball in the evening. Kate is unimpressed with Anthony’s list of requirements for a wife and the two argue about it. The scene is feisty and full of anger and passion. It ends with Kate leaving Anthony alone looking utterly bewildered.

Fans on Twitter were eagerly reacting to the clip and praising Simone’s performance. One user said she reminded them of Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. Another user said Kate was a powerful character and many others just begged for the release date of season two.

Earlier this year after the roaring success of the first season, Bridgerton was confirmed for a further three seasons.

Filming has begun for the second season and this season will mainly be focused on the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony and his new love interest Kate Sharma.

Daphne Bridgerton will be returning to the show however her husband The Duke, played by Regé-Jean Page, will not be returning to the series. I know I’m sad about it too.
