Um, so someone on TikTok revealed the true meaning of the Macarena and I am in shock

Literally my whole childhood was a lie

A TikTok user has revealed the actual meaning of the song the Macarena and my life will never be the same again.

The song we would dance to at every school disco actually has a pretty cheeky meaning. TikTok user @peakay81 told his followers the song is about a woman whose boyfriend goes away to join the army and so she has a threesome with his two friends.

In all honesty I had no idea the song even had lyrics, but in his video Pea Kay says: “a woman whose boyfriend is about to join the army. She, when he’s away, has a threesome with his two best mates. No joke, Google it, what the fuck.”

So obviously we Googled it and he’s right. The lyrics for the iconic dance song read: “But don’t you worry about my boyfriend / He’s a boy whose name is Vitorino/ I don’t want him/Couldn’t stand him/He was no good so I.”

It then goes onto say: “Now, come on, what was I supposed to do?/ He was out of town and his two friends were so fine.”

Pea Kay’s video has gone onto to have over 1 million views as everyone is equally shocked to discover the true meaning of the song.

A few said they now don’t know they will ever dance to the song again and others said their childhoods are now ruined which is totally fair enough.

The song originally came out in 1993 by male pop duo Los Del Rio and I think it’s safe to say school discos will never be the same again.
