Netflix’s latest thriller series ‘Behind Her Eyes’ is about to be your new obsession

Netflix is about to drop another thriller drama series which is bound to become your latest binge-watch, and it’s called Behind Her Eyes.

The six-part psychological drama is about a single mother who begins an affair with her new boss, before secretly befriending his mysterious wife too. This of course gets her into a huge web of lies and secrets. The series is from the producers of The Crown, is adapted from a best-selling novel and the teaser trailer looks creepy AF. Basically, it’s a recipe for a series to be hooked on.

Netflix series Behind Her Eyes is about a single mother who takes a new job then has an affair with her boss

The series is based on the 2017 novel with the same name, written by Sarah Pinborough. It follows Louise, who has an affair with her new boss which makes her right in the centre of loads of twisted drama and scandal. To add to this, Louise then secretly becomes friends with her boss’s wife, Adele.

The affair starts when Louise meets David in a bar over the weekend and they hook up. Ready to start her new job on the Monday, she arrives to see that the same guy is her new boss – and she doesn’t know that he is married. It really is everyone’s worst new job nightmare.

The Netflix synopsis for the series reads: “Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman). Her life takes a strange turn when she later befriends his wife Adele (Eve Hewson), and she finds herself caught in a web of secrets and lies where nothing is what it seems. Also starring Robert Aramayo, Behind Her Eyes is produced by Left Bank Pictures (The Crown) and written by Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Pinborough.”

There will be six episodes of the drama, all an hour long, released on February 17th worldwide on Netflix. Louise is played by Simona Brown (Kiss Me First, The Little Drummer Girl, Grantchester) whilst Tom Bateman (Da Vinci’s Demons, Murder on the Orient Express) plays David. Eve Hewson (Blood Ties, The Knick) is cast as Adele.
