How much money does the cast of Gossip Girl actually have?

Though they played some of the richest New Yorkers, the majority of the Gossip Girl cast haven’t got nearly as much as the wealthy characters they played. But that doesn’t mean their net worths are small.

Starting at a net worth of $4million for one cast member, the cast all of have millions to their names thanks to years of acting, modelling and campaigns.

No one is getting close the Bass’ estimated fortune of $2billion, but they can all still afford luxury mansions, boujee holidays and expensive cars.

These are the net worths of the Gossip Girl cast members:

Taylor Momsen – $4million

Kicking things off is Little J who has an estimated net worth of $4million. Taylor Momsen started her acting career at just three years old.

When she was seven years old Taylor starred in The Grinch as Cindy Lou. She auditioned at for the role of Hannah Montana but obviously lost out to Miley Cyrus.

Taylor was in Gossip Girl for five years before leaving to focus on her band The Pretty Reckless, which defo added to her bank balance.

Jessica Szohr – $4million

Jessica played the hipster alternative Vanessa in Gossip Girl. She’s been modelling since she was six years old and so she’s been making money from an early age.

Her significant acting roles such as Gossip Girl, What About Brian and The Internship will have likely brought in the majority of her wealth.

Ed Westwick – $5million

Sadly Ed Westwick is not on the same level as Chuck Bass’ $2billion fortune, however he does have a tidy net worth of $5million.

Gossip Girl was his first big acting project and he arguably hasn’t done anything better since. He’s had leading roles in Chalet Girl, Romeo and Juliet and White Gold.

But from the looks of his Instagram he lives in a boujee flat in London and goes on stunning holidays, so things can’t be going too badly for him.

Chace Crawford – $6million

Easily the best option out of all the Gossip Girl boys it’s nice to know Chace Crawford has done very well for himself.

Chace had only been in one film before starring in Gossip Girl as Nate. He’s been consistently acting since Gossip Girl ended with appearances in Glee, What To Expect When You’re Expecting and a main role in the TV series Blood & Oil.

Leighton Meester – $8million

Sadly Leighton hasn’t quite reached Blair levels of wealth but her net worth for a Gossip Girl cast member is still impressive.

She’s continued to act after Gossip Girl ended and her most recent house with husband Adam Brody cost an eye-watering $6.5million.

Penn Badgley – $8million

For some he’ll always be Joe from You, whereas for Gossip Girl fans he’ll never be anyone but Lonely Boy. However you think of him, the two series have made Penn Badgley a very rich man.

Penn had also starred in a number of films before appearing in Gossip Girl and consistently acted between Gossip Girl and You.

Blake Lively – $16million

And the Gossip Girl cast member with the biggest net worth is of course Blake Lively with a whopping $16million. She had starred in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants before becoming Serena Van Der Woodsen.

Blake was reportedly earning $60k per episode of Gossip Girl and since the series ended she’s continued to act and earnt a lot of dollar. Blake has starred in the Age of Adaline, The Shallows, Cafe Society and A Simple Favour, amongst others.

Acting isn’t her only source of income, Blake was named the new face of L’Oréal Paris in 2013, which was reportedly a multi-million dollar deal.

Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds have a $4.3million house which has over 11 acres of land. Must be nice to be Blake Lively.
