You might have a new star sign because people are saying there are actually 13

My whole Gemini life has been a lie

If everything’s been feeling weird recently, think twice before you blame world events, because it turns out your horoscope might have been wrong your whole life – there’s actually a new star sign.

Apparently the 12 signs of the zodiac you knew are all a lie, and there are actually 13. With the introduction of new Ophiuchus, every sign’s dates have moved around.

What does this mean? You’ve probably got a different star sign, and your whole life has been a lie.

The new star sign is called Ophiuchus

A 2016 blogpost from NASA spills the tea, placing the blame for the forgotten starsign, Ophiuchus, on the Babylonians.

Apparently the Babylonians, who came up with the whole horoscopes thing, just decided to leave it out. Despite knowing there were 13 signs of the zodiac, the Babylonians wanted to make it fit into 12 neat pieces. “So the Babylonians picked one, Ophiuchus, to leave out,” say NASA.

It’s a good thing Babylon is a lost civilisation already, or they’d be getting cancelled right about now. Forget hanging gardens, they should be hanging their heads in shame.

It’s got some really interesting traits

Ophiuchus goes between Scorpio and Sagittarius and has the Serpentine Bearer symbol.

Although you’d probably think the forgotten nature of the star sign lends itself to being chronically left out, Ophiuchus has some really interesting traits.

According to astrostyle.com, an Ophiuchus is “sexually magnetic with bedroom skills par excellence,” and is “secretive and mystical.”

You’re also passionate, likeable, anti-authority, secretive, jealous, rebellious, and have a flamboyant fashion sense.

That doesn’t sound like a bad deal. Essentially, you’re halfway between the charm of a Scorpio and the intelligence of a Sagittarius.

People, quite suitably, are freaking out

Of course, a massive cosmic realignment could never happen without a massive disturbance to everyone’s energy.

Just imagine living your whole life one way, and then finding out it was all wrong.

People are suddenly coming to regret their star sign tattoos.

Very Mercury in retrograde energy, if you ask me.
