Netflix to release game show called ‘Floor Is Lava’ based on what you used to play

Hayley SoenNetflix has just announced it is releasing a new competition show called “Floor Is Lava” which is based on the game you used to play as a child. Five year old me is shaking right now.
Netflix revealed the show on Twitter today, saying: “We just announced a new competition series called Floor Is Lava (inspired by the game where kids jump from furniture to furniture) and this picture from the show is SENDING ME.”
The photo is sending us all tbh.
Not much is known about the show, other than that it will see teams play the game we all used to, and navigate the floor as if it were lava. Assumably there will be some sort of way to “win” at the end and there will be a prize for the winning team members.
The show is being released next month, on June 19th.
I’m not really sure what Netflix is doing here but also, I’m very excited?!
