Do you ever just get that feeling you’ve completed Netflix? Like you scroll through absolutely everything on your homepage but there’s NOTHING there? We’ve all felt it. What to watch on Netflix is a real struggle sometimes.

But surprise surprise – there are actually tonnes of really great shows on there right now. So here’s a succinct list of what you should be watching on Netflix, according to what is most popular and what everyone is talking about at the moment.

1. Never Have I Ever

what to watch, Netflix, new, shows, best, films, May, releases, top 10, Never Have I Ever, review

Never Have I Ever has been reviewed as the “best teen comedy to date”. It tells the story of 15-year-old Devi, an Indian girl growing up in America. She’s having to deal with the usual teen struggles such as school, friendships and having a massive crush on the school’s heartthrob. But on top of that, she’s seeing a therapist to help her deal with the recent loss of her father.

The show has one of the most diverse casts on screen right now and it’s been praised for how well written it is. If that doesn’t sell Never Have I Ever to you, it has perfectly bingeable half an hour episodes and Paxton the heartthrob is extremely easy on the eye.

2. Afterlife

The synopsis says: “Struggling to come to terms with his wife’s death, a writer for a newspaper adopts a gruff new persona in an effort to push away those trying to help.” Season one is basically Ricky Gervais being angry and depressed but also very funny, and season two adds even more humour and widens the characters further.
