Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus

He’s now self-isolating


Boris Johnson has announced he has coronavirus. The Prime Minister announced on Twitter he has the virus.

In a video he said he over the last 24 hours he developed mild coronavirus symptoms and tested positive. He said he is currently self-isolating and will continue to lead government fight against virus via video conference.

He said: “Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this.”

He said the symptoms he is experiencing are a high temperature and a persistent cough.

In the clip he also said how moving the clap for the NHS was last night and went on to thank the Police, teachers and carers. He reminded everyone to stay at home as well in his address.
