Netflix’s ‘I Am Not Okay With This’ has been called ‘the new Sex Education’

And it’s got Stranger Things vibes

Netflix’s new teen drama ‘I Am Not Okay With This’ is going to fill the Sex Education hole in your life. It’s meant to be like a cross of Sex Education and Stranger Things. A dream combination if you ask me.

I Am Not Okay With This is based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman. It’s about a girl named Sydney who is dealing with the issues of high school, her budding sexuality and her grieving family. Oh and she also discovers mysterious powers within her.

The combination of all these things is said to lead to some mind blowing events.

The series is directed by The End of the Fucking World director and produced by the same team who created Stranger Things.

Sydney will be played by 17-year-old Sophia Lillis. Finally we’re getting a show where the teenager is played by an actual teenager and not a 30-year-old. Sophie has previously been in IT and Nancy Drew.

The show also features Wyatt Oleff who was also in IT, as well as Sofia Bryant, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong, and Richard Ellis.

The series will have eight episodes and they will all be released at once, so it’s going to be completely bingeable in one weekend.

The promo pics have a very Stranger Things esque vibe. Does this not look like Eleven getting her eggos in season one?

I Am Not Okay With This Comes to Netflix on 26th February, so just over a month to wait for our next Netflix fix.
