Caroline Flack’s ‘stained bed sheets’ show ‘mostly her blood’

Her boyfriend denies the pictures show his blood

Pictures of blood allegedly on Caroline Flack’s sheets after a reported fight with her boyfriend is mostly hers, it has now been claimed.

Caroline Flack was charged with assault last month after an alleged fight with boyfriend Lewis Burton at her north London flat. Pictures obtained by the Sun on New Year’s Eve claim to show her bed soaked in blood, with a source claiming at the time it was Lewis’.

Lewis then posted the photo on his Instagram, saying: “Bulls**t this isn’t my blood and I didn’t get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now.

“I love this girl more than anything no one knows what’s going on or what’s happened. She’s fucking harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met.”

A source has now told the Sun the blood in the picture is mostly Caroline’s. They said: “There is heaps of blood, but it’s not all from Lewis. Most of it was from Caroline’s injury after she smashed a glass and she was bleeding quite a lot from that.

“Things got very out of hand and no one is denying that. But Lewis was not the only one who was bleeding so it’s important to keep that in mind.”

In court last week, Caroline Flack pleaded not guilty to assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton. The court heard Lewis suffered a “significant injury to his head”, with the prosecution alleging Caroline hit Lewis over the head with a lamp as he slept.

Caroline Flack’s lawyer, Paul Morris, told the court: “He would not suggest that the injuries are significant in the way the prosecution submit”, adding “he is not a victim, he is a witness.”

The prosecution say Lewis called 999 saying “she tried to kill me” during a three minute call. Lewis was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Witnesses say six police cars arrived at their flat in the early hours of the morning, and blood was seen on the front door.

Prosecutor Katie Weiss told the court police officers said both Caroline and Lewis were “covered in blood”, adding it looked like “a scene to a horror movie.”

The court heard Caroline had to allegedly be restrained on the ground after flipping over a table.

Caroline will appear in court again on March 4th. She is currently on bail, and is restricted from contacting Lewis Burton directly or indirectly, or going to his address.

Since her arrest, Caroline has stepped down as host of Love Island. She has been replaced by Laura Whitmore for the upcoming winter series.
