ITV has taken The Jeremy Kyle show off air because a guest has died

The show won’t be filmed or shown as ITV conduct a review of the episode

ITV bosses have suspended The Jeremy Kyle Show after the death of a guest who filmed an episode only a week ago.

The show won't be filmed or shown whilst ITV conduct a review of the episode.

However, the cause of death or link to the episode are currently unknown.

Antiques show Dickinson's Real Deal replaced Jeremy Kyle this morning.

In a statement, ITV said: “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

Update: ITV has removed all old episodes of The Jeremy Kyle Show from ITV Hub. A link instead takes viewers to the show's website.
