How to have a blended orgasm

Clear your evening plans

| UPDATED

Have you ever been having sex and about to climax and you're not quite sure where your orgasm is coming from? Your G-spot is stimulated, as is your clit, and you're like "who is responsible here for what is about to happen??" If you've felt this, it's likely you've experienced a "blended orgasm", when you simultaneously orgasm from both the G-spot and clitoris.

Sounds good right? But how do you have a blended orgasm? And can everyone have one?

Blended orgasms rely on you being able to orgasm via the G-spot and clitoris independently. Not everyone can do this, with 75 per cent of women only being able to orgasm via clitoral stimulation. Equally some women can only come from their G-spot – so don't feel downhearted if you're unable to have a blended orgasm straight away or not at all. There are however a few tips which can increase your chances of having one. Here's how to have a blended orgasm:

FIRSTLY STIMULATE THE CLITORIS WITH YOUR FINGERS OR A TOY

Use lube to slowly stimulate the clitoris. Go in circular motions, or whatever you like, getting faster as you're getting more aroused. If you need to get more in the mood, make sure you're relaxed, or watch porn or use toys to get going. Keep varying the pressure to what you like.

USE FINGERS OR A TOY TO STIMULATE THE G-SPOT

Go between playing with your clit and fingering yourself to stimulate the G-spot. The G-spot is on the inner wall of the vagina, about 0.5 to two inches in. You'll know you've hit it because the texture feels different, a bit like a ridge. With your finger do a 'come here' motion to stimulate it, or you can use a toy specifically for the G-spot (they curve at the end). Use lots of lube. Remember, not all women are aroused from the G-spot, but have patience and don't expect to feel anything straight away.

IF HAVING SEX, PLAY WITH YOUR CLITORIS AT THE SAME TIME

Blended orgasms can occur during sex. The key thing is to make sure you're always rubbing your clitoris at the same time, whether that's with fingers or a toy. Either you can do it, or get your partner to. Using lube will make it more sensual.

DOGGY AND GIRL ON TOP WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCES

Both these positions mean your body is more angled for the penis to hit the G-spot.
