History is one of those love it or hate it topics. It's been crowned as one of the hardest A-Levels in the country so why on earth would you want to carry it on?! For those of you who have chosen to take the dive and study it even further, this league table shows the best universities to study history in the UK.

It's been called the best degree out there, and even the best subject of all time, but there are a few things they don't tell you before you start a history degree. Maybe it's all the things you'll get fed up of hearing like "omg so you know all about Hitler then?" or that there's actually an art behind surviving your first year as a history student. Either way, it's a great degree to have.
