This guy is the biggest BNOC in the whole of Britain, and we are not worthy

A freak accident meant he had to take half the academic year off

Thousands of you cast your votes in the final of Britain's biggest BNOC and now the results are in.

It was a tight competition, but coming out on top is Henry Rowe from UEA – who is now officially the biggest BNOC in the entire country. What a title to have.

The second year Culture, Literature and Politics student gained the most votes, proving he has successfully won over the nation.

Henry was nominated for several reasons, but most notably after a freak head injury meant he had to take the rest of the year out. Oh, and because he's often found dancing around campus.

He got the head injury after falling off a sofa and onto tiled flooring at a pre drinks – and admits that this may have been a bit of a sob story that gained him votes in the competition.

Reacting to the news, Henry said he was in "utter shock".

"Although I do feel great after winning UEA BNOC, it’s most probably a bit (massive) of a sympathy vote after I suffered a really bad head injury in November, resulting in me having to take the rest of the academic year off. I was also nominated for my dancing though I guess!"

When asked if he would like to say anything to those who voted for him, he said: "Not much other than a big thank you as this is pretty cool for me to have won, it’s always nice to have some nice things come out of my accident.

"I look forward to being back at the home of the wonderful in September, UEA."

Henry says he feels "very honoured" to represent UEA, the uni he loves, and doing his degree has been the best few years of his life.

Henry said: "Thank you very much for all of this, still honestly shocked."

Congrats Henry, don't forget to pop your new title on your CV.
