Roll up! Roll up! Greggs is launching a Christmas advent calendar

Everyone's favourite bakery chain, Greggs, is launching an advent calendar next week, which will include a voucher to be used in store every day in the lead up to Christmas.

Although this calendar disappointingly won't contain anything edible, it does mean that you can treat yourself to a freshly baked item from Greggs every day, so just a normal month really.

The Christmas Eve window will open to reveal a £5 Greggs voucher, to warm yourself up for a hearty Christmas lunch the next day. However, some of the calendars will contain a £25 voucher on the last day, that's 27 sausage rolls.

The calendars are on sale in stores from Monday 20th November and will cost £24, however the worth of the calendar is between £35 and £60.

The vouchers can be redeemed on any day in December until Christmas and the gift cards will be valid for 12 months.

A Greggs spokesman said: "Novelty advent calendars have been around for years, so we thought it was time to take the concept up a notch.

"Fans won't be disappointed by what's behind the doors – there's a delicious Greggs gift to enjoy every day of the December advent season, from sausage rolls to Christmas sandwiches and of course our infamous Festive Bake. It's the perfect Christmas gift for every Greggs fan."
