Towards the end of last night's final show, Caroline Flack announced that applications for the 2018 series had opened. Hopefuls were directed towards the ITV website for their chance to take part in "your very own long hot summer of romance".

The form states that ITV2 are looking for "vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of a summer of love."

The application form requires you to state how long you have been single for, and explain why you would be a great Islander in a minute long video.

Don't worry, you have until 30th April 2018 to either submit your own application, or convince one of your mates to go to Mallorca next summer.

80,000 people applied to be on this year's show, making it statistically harder to get on Love Island than into Cambridge, so spending hours perfecting your application is likely to be a huge waste of time, good luck though!
