All of the minimalist tattoo artists you should follow on Instagram because they’ll turn your skin into magnificient doodles
But like, in a chill, minimalist way
It’s hard picking a tattoo. There’s always the fear that you’ll fuck it up, try to imbue it with enough fake meaning to end up sharing your sob story on Miami Ink and end up hating it within six months. But if you’re gonna go for one minimalist tattoos probably have the most staying power.
Tattoo artist Taz told babe: “They will never go out of fashion, they’re a way of life. For some they’re tradition, some use it for therapy, some use it for locking friendship or a bond. Tattoos are forever. Geometric shapes will forever be in style because there is pretty much no escaping it. They all will be, because they’re so small, but the idea is so big.”
Plus, they’re pretty small, so even if they do go out of fashion you’ll regret your decision less than that huge black and grey skull sleeve you planned when you were 16. If you do decide to get one, you can probably draw some inspiration from these guys:
Maison Hefner
“I would not say my tattoos can be put in the category of Russian prison tattoos,” he told Konbini. “Nor can I talk about this style, because I am in no position to practice it. Tattoos like [mine] mirror the state of an individual, embodying a way of life… It is neither decoration nor a bad joke.”
