You can now buy a vibrator which is literally the eggplant emoji

What have we become

Welcome to the most ‘it’s 2016 and everything is awful’ marketing ploy in the world: a vibrator based on the aubergine emoji has gone on sale.

The Emojibator – yes that’s actually what it is called – which costs £26, is styled after the phallic symbol often used in lieu of cruder emojis.

The vibrator boasts “10 vibration settings that always hit the spot” and is waterproof “for bath and shower play”.

Amused social media users branded the toy “ridiculous” but “genius”, poking fun at the toy’s photo shoot involving a cat, and also Snapchat captions because m i l l e n n i a l s.

Joshua Kanter said: “Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to buy an actual eggplant? You’d really be killing two birds with one stone because afterwards you can cook it for dinner.”

Barbara Casey added: “Since when do we have to spend money to make masturbation fun, easy and accessible?”
