Why Cosmo’s buffet will always hold a place in our hearts

It’s an exciting quest through traditional dishes from different countries and cultures. It dares us to fill our stomachs with tasty, tempting dishes for only £13.99. After all, who doesn’t love a challenge?

The choice is astounding. The food is sublime

With every Cosmo restaurant offering at least 150 dishes to choose from, even the pickiest of us eaters will be pleased. Flavours from around the world are on show with Asian, Italian, Indian and even British. Let’s be honest, usually with buffets you expect to be served slop – but that’s not the case at Cosmo. Staff will linger around food stations, refilling each platter as soon as it empties with fresh dishes. The food itself is delicious – Masala and Korma, stir fried lamb and tapas salmon, sushi and meatballs, it really does have everything. I myself usually end up going for all you can eat pizza, it’s every students dream.

The price is right

With all you can eat dinner for £13.99 and all you can eat lunch from £7.99, Cosmo is one of the cheapest restaurants in Britain. If you are on a strict diet; don’t go here. I tried that once, intending to just get rice and some chicken. I left after having three full meals, four glasses of Coke and at least a couple of different types of cheesecake and ice cream. If you are a scrimping student or a parent trying to save some money, look no further than Cosmo for your meal out, trust me you won’t regret it.

Drinks

Cosmo actually has a very good drinks menu at a reasonable price. They have a huge variety of cocktails, spirits and beers that will make choosing your first drink of the night almost impossible. If you haven’t tried it before, I would thoroughly recommend making Cosmo your first stop on a big night out. It lines the stomach very well and you will already be a little bit tipsy when you are leaving for Spoons.

Dessert

THERE IS ALL YOU CAN EAT DESSERT. As kids we always dreamed of this, now we are adults we pretend not to (but secretly still do). Cosmo has such a wide range of desserts it makes the mind boggle. Mini cheesecakes and gateaux, eton mess and fresh fruits, jelly and ice cream, a chocolate fountain and marshmallows. It is glorious. My belly is already starting to rumble writing this, your belly is already starting to rumble reading this.

No waiting

This last reason is my favourite thing about Cosmo (difficult choice). Once you get seated there is no wait at all. As soon as you set your bum on the chair you can lift it straight back up to get your meal. This alone is enough to secure my undying love.

We all love Cosmo – it’s a unique dining experience. Buffet style restaurants are dwindling in the UK yet Cosmo is on the rise, this itself is a testament to the restaurant. No matter what type of person or age you are, after dining in Cosmo once, it will always have a special place in your heart.
