Upon learning the news, fans took to his Instagram<\/a> to pay tribute. Although the actor wasn’t extremely active on the platform, two of his last five posts were in tribute to his character on the hit show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August and September of 2021, when the show came to an end after eight seasons, Andre posted a picture of Captain Raymond Holt, which he captioned: “Love always, Daptain. #Brooklyn99.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
