{"id":66102,"date":"2026-11-06T09:40:12","date_gmt":"2026-11-06T09:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thetab.com\/realityshrine\/?p=66102"},"modified":"2026-11-06T09:40:12","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T09:40:12","slug":"zac-affleck-admits-he-begged-jen-to-stay-and-found-out-about-their-divorce-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thetab.com\/realityshrine\/2026\/11\/06\/zac-affleck-admits-he-begged-jen-to-stay-and-found-out-about-their-divorce-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Zac Affleck admits he \u2018begged\u2019 Jen to stay, and found out about their divorce online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/realityshrine\/2026\/11\/05\/mormon-wives-jen-and-zac-affleck-divorce-after-seven-years-as-shes-eight-months-pregnant\/\">announced yesterday via TMZ that Jen Affleck was divorcing from her husband Zac<\/a> after seven years of marriage, all whilst being eight months pregnant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, Zac has now revealed that he only found out she&#8217;d filed for divorce because of the article, and admitted he&#8217;d &#8220;begged&#8221; her to stay.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an video statement, Zac confirmed: &#8220;It is true that Jen filed for divorce yesterday and it is true that I found out from a TMZ reporter about the filing. But regardless of that, this is something we\u2019ve been talking about for a long time,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJen came to me about a year ago after Dancing with the Stars and told me she was unhappy and wanted a divorce,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd I basically begged her to stay, told her [I would] work on things, fix things, become whoever she needed me to be, and ultimately just we couldn\u2019t make it work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe height=\"578\" width=\"325\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/player\/v1\/7704869305665506574?embed_from=oembed&#038;music_info=1&#038;description=1&#038;autoplay=1&#038;muted=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Zac went on to say \u201cit sucks\u201d because \u201cI really do love Jen and I still love Jen.\u201d He also admitted that he\u2019s \u201cmade plenty of mistakes in our marriage\u201d and \u201cit just really was time for us to go our own ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got married so young and it sucks because I really did feel like we had something pretty special when we got married, but\u2026 yeah, life happened,\u201d Zac shared. \u201cWe had four kids. We signed up for [a] reality TV on a show that\u2019s really hurt a lot of people\u2019s lives, and yeah, there\u2019s a lot of\u2026 it\u2019s just hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarriage is hard. Having your marriage in the public is hard, raising kids is hard, and I think we slowly over time, we lost that spark,\u201d he added, though he noted that he planned to continue to \u201csupport\u201d his wife \u201cand be her biggest fan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zac also addressed what would happen with their three kids and soon to be baby, adding: &#8220;How we handle this with the kids and that\u2019s really my [priority],\u201d he said. \u201cI feel like probably the thing that\u2019s eating me alive the most is, I feel like I failed my kids, and I\u2019m worried that I\u2019m going to cause them damage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I just hope that we can still give them a normal childhood. But as far as that goes, Jen and I are definitely on the same page of wanting to give them the best life we can, the best childhood we can and be teammates and work together and do that,\u201d he
