Sam and Billie knew about the violence. I can&#8217;t believe I put them through that.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After he became homeless, Lee decided to turn his life around. But his relationship with his two daughters and ex-wife is still strained as Sam Faiers detailed in her 2015 autobiography\u00a0<em>Secrets and Lies.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Who is their stepdad?<\/h3>\n<p>Their mother remarried 65-year-old David &#8216;Dave&#8217; Chatwood.<\/p>\n<p>But this relationship seems to have been no easier than the last, as he served four months of a four-year sentence in prison in 2012 for his role in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-2319879\/TOWIE-stars-Sam-Billie-Faiers-stepfather-released-prison-just-FOUR-months-jailed-years.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a31.1million gold bullion robbery<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, Billie and Sam consider Dave to be their real father and so still retain a close relationship despite his dodgy past.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; which he claims was just an effect of his sleeping tablets &#8211; Dave almost didn&#8217;t make the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>But in the episode Dave warmed the hearts of viewers, saying: &#8220;I would have swam here for you&#8230;
