The Great British Sewing Bee is back for 2019!<\/p>\n
The BBC Two show returned after three years and kicked off with series 5 on February 12th.<\/p>\n
The competition is judged by two judges – Patrick Grant and Esme Young.<\/p>\n
Here’s everything you need to know about The Great British Sewing Bee’s Esme.<\/p>\n
In the 1980’s Esme along with three friends started fashion brand and shop Swanky Modes in Camden, London.<\/p>\n
She opened her own design studio in the mid 80’s and went on to produce clothing for many films and adverts.<\/p>\n
Esme created clothes for the 2001 film\u00a0Bridget Jones’s Diary including the famous bunny costume!<\/p>\n
According to United <\/a>Agents<\/a><\/strong>, her high profile campaigns include\u00a0Tia Maria, Levi\u2019s,\u00a0Boots No 7, Marlborough, De Beers, Pretty Polly tights, Max Factor, Yardley and Rimmel.<\/p>\n Esme’s career took a different course and in 2016 when she replaced ex Sewing Bee judge May Martin on The Great British Sewing Bee.<\/p>\n Now, she’s back for series 5 alongside Patrick Grant.<\/p>\n When judging the competition alongside massively tall Patrick Green, Esme looks tiny.<\/p>\n The 70-year-old said to Yours<\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0\u201cHe\u2019s very tall and I\u2019m very small,\u201d says Esme. Patrick added: \u201cWe are literally looking from different perspectives. I see the high-up bits and she sees the low-down bits.\u201d<\/p>\n Patrick\u00a0stands at 1.9m tall (6 ft 2) and we would estimate that Esme stands at around 1.5 m tall (5 ft).<\/p>\n Esme is on Instagram as @miss_esme_young<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n She has over 3,000 followers on Instagram and often reposts work from her ex-student Ashish.<\/p>\n Indian born British designer Ashish<\/strong><\/a> has 200,000 followers.<\/p>\nEsme Young Height<\/h3>\n
