During his time on Deadliest Catch, Jake has sadly experienced many losses within his family.<\/p>\n<h2>Jake&#8217;s sister Chelsea sadly died during Deadliest Catch<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/realityshrine\/2026\/05\/09\/heres-how-long-deadliest-catchs-jake-anderson-and-wife-jenna-have-actually-been-divorced-for\/\">Jake<\/a> had an older sister called Chelsea Dawn Anderson. When Chelsea was 18 months old, doctors diagnosed her with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (which is now known as Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis). Keith&#8217;s truck was found abandoned in a forest in Skagit County. Jake&#8217;s dad&#8217;s sister is the wife of Nick&#8217;s brother, but Jake always referred to Nick as his &#8220;uncle&#8221;. He had a heart attack in Naknek while he was getting ready to go salmon fishing.<\/p>\n<p>In season 21 episode five of Deadliest Catch, Jake and Sig Hansen arranged a tribute to Nick.
