Sophie and Dave won Perfect Match season four, but are the two still together? Let’s find out!<\/p>\n

MAFS star Dave and Love Is Blind UK icon Sophie were practically inseparable when they were on the show together, with their prize for winning consisting of a luxury holiday away for two. But, as we all sort of expected due to the fact that Sophie lives in the UK and Dave lives in Australia, they’re no longer together.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Tudum<\/a>, Sophie confirmed: “Unfortunately, there is a whole wide ocean in between us. Lack of communication and effort resulted in us having a conversation to just remain friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dave added that communication between them became “difficult” because of the time zone difference, with him saying the strength of their connection on the show completely “blindsided him.”<\/p>\n

Sophie explained that their relationship taught her an important lesson, saying: “It showed me that when you feel comfortable and safe with a person, your true, authentic self shines and feelings are even more magnified.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, have either of them moved on since the show? Well sounds like a no from both sides. Sophie is currently “as single as I was two years ago when I went on Love Is Blind: UK\u201d, but she\u2019s more ready than ever to find her perfect man.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try not to date red flags now, but in my defense, a lot of the time, they portray themselves as green. What\u2019s a girl to do?\u201d If you actually are a good guy who can make her laugh \u2014 hopefully as much as Dave did \u2014 reach out. \u201cMy DMs are very much open,\u201d she says. \u201cSlide right on in.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Dave, he explained that “life after the show has been great. Nothing has changed too drastically just yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whilst he doesn’t think how he behaved in the villa is how he actually dates in real life, it still taught him a lot. He added: “I feel like the opportunity to do Perfect Match taught me to go with my gut. Take the risk, have fun, and be yourself. I\u2019m definitely focused on meeting my person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to New Idea, Dave also revealed the pair went to the Maldives for their trip, but ended up splitting within 24 hours. He joked: “I think we\u2019re the only two people who friend-zoned each other in Maldives history.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “We were lucky, we had late flights the next day, so we had a full day to ourselves in Mexico. Everyone was leaving during the day, and we had another 24 hours together. We went out for dinner, walked along the beach, had pina coladas, and it was nice.”<\/p>\n

As for the issues with the time zone difference, he explained: “There were about six or eight weeks until we had our trip to the Maldives and I think when we went back home, the communication was up, the buzz is high and it was just like, what an amazing thing we did.<\/p>\n

“Communication dropped off on both of our ends with the time difference and the ocean between us, you know what I mean? It was our lives sort of came back to normal, and you realise \u2018oh sh*t, this is gonna be difficult.'”<\/p>\n
